Thomas Steininger in dialogue with Indra Adnan
What does it mean to “wake up” to the realities of the climate crisis and social breakdown? How can we respond?
The internet era has changed the way we learn, connect, and mobilize—for good and for ill. It also demands a new political response. How is that possible since these forces have shaken the current system, that was already broken and dysfunctional?
Indra Adnan, a trained psychotherapist and co-founder of the political platform Alternative UK, focuses in her new book The Politics of Waking Up – Power and Possibility in the Fractal Age on empowering living communities, local and global. Could there be a third force next to established party politics and global business? Adnan believes this is not only possible, but practical. Her vision of “fractal” politics, with an emphasis on new patterns of behavior and viable prototypes of social progress, can be copied and replicated everywhere.
This week on Radio evolve, Dr. Thomas Steininger talks with Indra Adnan about the politics of waking up.
